Am I right? I have such an on again/off again relationship with this good ole writing outlet of mine. I’m coming to terms with it, though, and accepting it for what it is. Life is crazy! I’m pretty sure like 5 people will actually read this so does it really matter? Probably not! But if it makes me happy to pick it up and write again whenever I have time to do so, why not do it? So if you’ve been following along since the days of Crafting & Cupcakery, thanks for sticking around. You rock. And if this is the first blog post of mine you’ve ever read, welcome! You rock too! I thought I’d give a quick update on my life as of lately and provide links to a couple of old blog posts that might help you through the remainder of the holiday season, so here it goes!
Max and I have been married over a year now, which is crazy to think about! It seems like just yesterday he was down on one knee asking me to be his wife. Since our own wedding, we spent this year celebrating the marriage of so many friends, and it’s been wonderful to be apart of. We’re truly in a special time of our lives! We also managed to sneak to Ireland for a week to celebrate our anniversary…I should do a post about that…maybe someday! We’re still stuck in our cozy little apartment in Mount Horeb, WI with our 80lb labradoodle, Pip, while we search for the perfect first home for ourselves. We’ve been looking for about half a year, and haven’t loved anything enough to settle, so we’re kicking back and saving money until the perfect something comes along! What’s the rush? Our daily lives are consumed with full time jobs and the general craziness of day-to-day life. But you better believe we still make time to get out and adventure whenever we can! Hiking in the woods, pitching a tent, taking the boat out, visiting our favorite fishing spot on the WI River, we squeeze it in when we can! But I have to say, daily life is pretty awesome when you’re married to your best friend, it really doesn’t get anymore fun!
I was digging around the blog (which inspired me to write a post!) for some last minute holiday ideas, and I thought I’d share some helpful ones with you. I hope you enjoy them, and I hope you enjoy the craziness of the holidays with the ones you love the most!
