DIY Wreath

December’s here! Goodbye fall decorations, hello everything red and green that I own! I’m a totally classic Christmas decorator, I love traditional decorations. This Saturday we’re picking up the our Christmas tree and I’ve been in a decorating frenzy prepping for the final touch of the tree.

I made this red and gold wreath to hang on the front door. It was really easy!

You will need:

1- 8in. twig wreath

2- 24 in. pieces of ribbon of your choice. I used a red burlap ribbon and a thin gold ribbon.

Misc. floral accents – I found mine at Jo Ann Fabric, including the cute bulbs!

Instructions:

1) Wrap your thicker ribbon in, out and around your wreath. Repeat until you get back to where you started. Use hot glue and glue the end of the ribbon to the back of your wreath.

2) Repeat with the thinner ribbon, all the way around. Again, use hot glue to secure to the back of the wreath.

3) I simply placed my floral accents into the cracks of the twigs on the wreath. You could secure them with hot glue if you want it to be a little more secure.

4) I used some of my thinner gold ribbon and glued a loop of it to the back of my wreath to use as a hanger.
