DIY Twig Votive

Before I forget to say this, I used a candle as the base for this votive because I had this candle lying around. However, I have no intentions of lighting this candle and you shouldn’t either should you use a candle for this project. Decorating on a budget has led to a lot of rustic themed things in our house, which is totally fine! I love decorating with STICKS! I needed some shelf fillers so I decided to see how this Twig Votive turned out, I love it and I’ll definitely be making more to incorporate into the decorating!

You will need:

1 glass votive

Misc. sticks, broken into pieces approximately the same height as your votive

Glue gun, glue sticks

Burlap or other ribbon

Directions:

1) After you’ve broken your sticks into pieces approximately the same height as your votive, you simply just start gluing them to the glass! You can use snips to cut the sticks if you prefer a clean cut edge.

2) Continue gluing the twigs all the way around the votive. Glue the twigs as close together as possible.

3) After you’ve glued your sticks all the way around the votive, attach a piece of burlap or ribbon! It looks cute and it hides any area not covered by the sticks.
