Friday Five

Can you believe it’s Friday already? Before we know it it’s going to be Thanksgiving and then we’ll blink and it’ll be Christmas! I hate that the BEST part of the year always flies by so fast but I guess that means we’re supposed to enjoy it while it’s happening! Here’s this week’s Friday Five!

It’s that time of the year again. I honestly CANNOT believe a year has passed since I was cozied up on this rainy weekend last year in Cheryl Smeja’s studio digging through and selling beautiful jewelry handmade by area artists. It happened to work out that I get to swing by the ‘Holiday Jewelry and Art Sale’ this weekend! If you’re local to the Southwest WI area, don’t forget to check it out! The environment and volunteers working the event are reason enough to stop down and check it out. “On the weekend of November 9-10, the Cafè and Cabinet Shop at Shake Rag Alley will become exclusive boutiques, selling one-of-a-kind handmade items made by over 35 talented students and instructors during our Fourth Annual Holiday Jewelry and Art Sale. For these two days you can shop for unique items for yourself or loved ones in time for Holiday gift giving. Expect to find handmade jewelry, fiber, glass, mixed media/assemblage and paper art, while enjoying yummy treats, coffee, and cider. A portion of the proceeds will help Shake Rag Alley continue our mission to inspire creativity and bring quality art and craft classes for children and adults, as well as dramatic and musical arts to Southwestern Wisconsin.”

I know I swooned over sweaters last week but look at this adorable DIY way to make elbow pads. Anytime I see someone with elbow pads on their sweater I get really jealous, but cute sweaters with elbow pads are too expensive! Enter this DIY version, how adorable! And I happen to have some wool lying around. I need to gather some gal pals and give this a try. Who is in?!

I didn’t start drinking coffee until very recently, like June. And now I’m not sure how I got by without it. I went my entire college career without coffee. WHY would I do that to myself?! And why would my friends let me?! Now I don’t know what in the world I would do without a glorious cup of coffee by my side each and every morning. What’s your caffeine fix of choice?

I know I’ve written about American Horror Story already but I just need to say that it has not failed to disappoint again this season. Oh my word, such a good show. And so terrifying! They are not afraid to cross any lines. I don’t want to give any spoilers for those of you who haven’t seen it but those of you who have, are you pleased with this season so far?

I’m leaving number five blank today because I’m running short on time and because I want to know what one of your favorite things was this week! Comment below and tell me something that stuck out to you about this week!

I hope your weekend is full of adventure and things you love!
