Homemade Uncrustables

I love those Uncrustables you can find in the freezer section at the grocery store. They were a go-to breakfast for me while I was a student. They’re the perfect size for breakfast and so SO convenient. The only thing I didn’t like about these guys is the cost. Man, are they an expense! So then I got to thinking, “Gee, it’s a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with the crust cut off, I can do that myself.” And so I did! So convenient to make a batch at the start of the week! The recipe below is for one, but I’m pretty sure you can figure out the portions to make as many as you’d like! 😉

2 slices of bread

1 tbs. peanut butter

1 tbs. jelly

1)  First, cut off the crusts of your bread.

3) Put your two pieces of bread together and find an object with a flat, sanitary surface to seal your edges. I used the end of spatula. Other items you could use include; a fork, a small cutting board, etc….

4) Seal all four edges and place in a Ziploc freezer bag.
